Mitch Rafferty

Mitch Rafferty is a gardener. Mitch is living a simple life. Mitch is married to the woman of his dreams, hoping someday soon to have a few children. Mitch owns his own gardening business, working with only one employee. Mitch would like to expand his business someday, but is content now with the way things are. Despite having a difficult childhood with parents who treated their children as test subjects rather than children, Mitch is a well-adjusted, normal man. That is, until the day someone kidnaps his wife.

The kidnappers want Mitch to come up with two million dollars in sixty hours despite the fact that Mitch does not have access to that kind of money. To encourage Mitch to do as he is told, the kidnappers shoot and kill a dog walker across the street from where Mitch is working....
