Libby Jones/Serenity Lamb

Libby Jones, born Serenity Lamb, is the daughter of Lucy Lamb and Phin Thomsen. However, she does not discover her true parentage until later in the novel. She was adopted as an infant by a couple, but her adoptive father passed away when she was 8 years old. Her adoptive mother was flighty and led a chaotic life, which left Libby on her own a lot. When she was 18, her mother permanently moved to Spain. For the most part, Libby has not had close relationships with people, especially her family. She does not even have a close relationship with herself, as she has structured her identity around organization as a way to compensate for the chaos of her youth.
