Cardinal Bem makes his way to the church where he is to meet Father Ley, but he is hesitant to go in. In the square, young boys are passing out leaflets about the speech that is to be given at the Rywald celebrations, and are arrested by the Security Police. A young man approaches the cardinal with an envelope containing money along with a letter from Father Ley, who has sent the young man.....
