Conclusion Of A Project Summary

Lije is conflicted and confused. Daneel is telling him that now the Spacers are calling off the investigation because they believe Earthmen will colonize and that was their goal. Once he opened his mind to it, he demonstrated to Daneel he was able to change Medievalists' minds like he did with Clousarr. Daneel detected cerebric changes, due to Lije's fervent discussion about emigration. Daneel concluded from his cerebroanalysis of Clousarr, that a Medievalist's mind was open to change.
