Dr. Gerrigel pulls out his Handbook of Robotics and begins a series of questions. They are simple and concise, and the doctor concludes that Daneel is perfectly equipped with the First Law. Lije is not in the least bit satisfied. If Daneel had been equipped with the First Law at the shoe store it would thrown him into some sort of neurosis afterwards. However, he is fine.
