Elijah Baley is a hard-working City dweller and policeman with a wife and son. R. Daneel Olivaw is a Spacer humanoid robot created for the purpose of providing justice. Lije Baley at the New York City police Headquarters is notices that Commissioner Julius Enderby appears uneasy and distressed about something.
