Jim Qwilleran

Jim Qwilleran is the main character of this novel. He is a bachelor who lives in Pickax with his two cats, Koko and Yum Yum. Though he recently inherited the Klingenschoen fortune, his needs are simple, and he is content to live in an apartment over the garage of the estate. Qwill decides to spend the summer in Mooseville, a nearby lakeshore resort town, because he is bored with the dull life of Pickax; however, as soon as he arrives at the Klingenschoen cabin in Mooseville, he begins having problems with the cabin and frequently requires the services of the Glinko Network to make repairs on the cabin so that he can comfortably inhabit it.
