Dr. Kate Warner is doing research on autism at a Research facility in Jakarta. The facility is owned by the Immari Corporation. She has moved there after losing her child so she can make a fresh start. She is doing research to help end autism. Two of the autistic children are kidnapped and she attempts to find them.

David Vale works for the intelligence agency, Clocktower. He is stationed at their facility in Jakarta, Indonesia. David wanted to be in that area so he could be near Mount Toba because he feels that there is some significance in that place that ties to the Immari Corporation. He believes the Immari Corporation was behind the 9/11 attacks and other terrorist attacks throughout the world.
