Chapter Twelve, The Break Summary

Everyone is converging on Lyra's location in the cave; King Ogunwe from Asriel's forces in his gyropoter, the Swiss Guard from the Consistorial Court in zeppelins, and Will, Balthamos, Iorek and Ama. Balthamos is still helping Will but his grief over Baruch makes him less and less communicative. Ama will not give Will the medicine to wake Lyra, so he must take her with him. Will plans to cut through to another world and then cut again to Lyra's location in the cave. However, the only world he can find that will work has a bright moon shining and it is possible that this light from the other world will give him away as he tries to rescue Lyra.
