In Ask Annie 4, a student writes that she likes to flirt with guys until they dump their girlfriends. Then she doesn't want them anymore. Annie tells her that knowing she has a problem with this means she is halfway to solving it. She tells the writer to stop this behavior or she will be friendless.

In Chapter Four, Jenny is pulled out of class by Mrs. Kellogg and introduced to Luke Striker. She isn't prepared to meet him and blushes.
