Chapter 22 Summary

The day of Margaret's doctor appointment is the day Willie has to meet Mad Dog to plan the bank robbery for the following day. When Willie gets to his car, the battery is dead. Two cops approach him asking for his identification and registration. The cops leave but come back and ask to take Julius down to the station to question him about some vehicle thefts.

When they arrive at the station, they take his fingerprints. When they determine Julius is really Willie the Actor, they arrest him and return him to prison.

The reporter and the photographer start talking about Arnie Schuster as they drive to the home where he leaves. Sutton recalls the first time he saw Arnie they were on the same subway train. Arnie kept staring at Willie. It turns out that Schuster recognizes Willie from the FBI's most...
