Chapter 11 Summary

Willie chooses his first bank to rib. He also uses the skills Doc taught him about scouting out the location and the need for proper planning.

Sutton, the reporter and the photographer arrive in Times Square. Sutton sees a prostitute. She reminds Sutton of Wingy so he strikes up a conversation with the woman. The photographer buys Sutton a pair of fur-covered handcuffs so that Sutton will feel normal while riding in the back seat of the old converted cop car.

Eddie and Willie make a trial run at robbing the bank. They build the necessary platform and take the necessary tools. They don't steal anything and they even live their tools behind. They aren't afraid of leaving fingerprints because they are wearing gloves. They decide to go to a baseball game. By this time, it is April of 1923.
