Chapter 14 Summary

Snapper has tied up Edie and Fred in order to find out what scam they are planning to perpetrate. Fred breaks down and tells Snapper the entire plan, including the amount of money they hope to come into, after Snapper hits Edie and makes fun of Fred's sexual prowess. Snapper makes them agree to include him in the plan before he lets them go. In a rage because Snapper hits her, Edie hits Snapper on the leg with a crowbar.

Augustine, Bonnie, Max, Tile, and Skink go back to Augustine's house so Max and Skink can clean up. Tile speaks to Skink about Brenda, his girlfriend who happens to be the same state trooper Snapper beat up. Skink is upset by this news and worried about his friend.
