Summary

In Chapter 46, Wendy goes to the kitchen to make lunch. While downstairs, she can’t help but look for her husband. She finds Jack, surrounded by the smell of gin and beer, passed out in the lounge. She offers to help him upstairs, but he grabs her ankle roughly. He accuses her of turning Danny against him. Then, he begins to choke her. Danny has come downstairs. He tries to pull his father off, but Jack slaps him away. Wendy’s hand happens to land on a wine bottle which she uses to hit Jack on the head. She explains to Danny that Jack has been possessed by the hotel. They drag him to the pantry and lock him inside.
