Summary

In Chapter 36, Jack, Wendy and Danny are awakened by the sounds of the elevator moving. Jack believes there is a short in the elevator causing it to run. As Wendy and Danny walk toward the elevator, Wendy suddenly gets the idea that there must have been a big party. However, she has no idea why she is thinking about a party. She tells Jack she is hearing voices in her head and feels like she is going crazy. Jack is angry, especially when Danny backs up Wendy’s claim. He tells them that he believes they are both going crazy because he doesn’t hear anything. When he opens the door of the elevator, Wendy pulls out a handful of confetti and a mask that wasn’t there before.
