Summary

In Chapter 6, Simon knows Detective Isaac Fagbenle is goading him into a response, but he is so afraid that Paige had been killed that he does not care. He agrees to answer questions without his attorney and would have agreed to almost anything in order to get answers. Isaac finally says that Aaron was murdered and he does not know where Paige is. He asks Simon to account for his whereabouts the previous evening. Simon says Ingrid was at work. Hester arrives, furious that Simon is answering questions but allows it to continue. Isaac returns to questions about Aaron, and Hester runs interference. When they are alone, Hester points out that Simon's alibi is shaky because he and Anya were home together, but Anya spent time in her room which means she cannot say that Simon was home all evening.
