The College and Rees are again called to be intercessors on the international level when the crisis in Ethiopia occurs. They prayed for Ethiopia to be spared from being overtaken my Mussolini. Sadly, the intercession does not prevail but lessons are learned and seeds are planted for future intercessions and prayer. Rees is given the opportunity over time to meet the Emperor of Ethiopia. . In addition, many receive salvation through revivals in the country.

God always provides answers to the intercessions, just not always the answers expected or desired. In the case of Ethiopia, the first answer seems to be defeat when the Emperor is removed from the throne during Mussolini's control. In the end, God uses the trial to bring more spiritual strength to the country so they may be victorious in the future and stand strong if they are attacked again.
