Chapter 33

In Chapter 33, everyone heads to Nate’s for a party. Serena takes Emma off to dance to the band, and Sara and Meg join them. Jared asks Evan how things are going with Emma. He tells him it is complicated. James, Serena’s boyfriend, says that Emma is different. She is not predictable. Jared says that whatever Evan is doing is helping her. She does not look messed up.

Nika flirts with Evan at the party, but he is not interested. Serena comes and saves him and helps get him away from Nika. Meg pushes Emma into the swimming pool. This starts something, and everyone starts jumping in the pool fully clothed. Emma was distracted watching Nika talk to Evan, and Meg took her by surprise.
