Chapter 42 Summary

Eric Gage knows it is going to be an extraordinary day as soon as he wakes up, but he doesn't quite know why. As he pours himself a glass of orange juice, he hears the demon's whisper--hears it but doesn't understand the message.

He waits for several minutes but it doesn't come again. He goes about his day and dresses in a running suit with zippered pockets. He puts a gun in one pocket and extra rounds in the other. He takes a second gun and carries it into the kitchen with him, where he places it on the kitchen table.

He knows the demon is trying to take him over once again, and he tries to prevent it, determined to stop it once and for all. But as he walks back down the hallway,.....
