Chapter 38 Summary

Henry finds another letter from the killer in the mail and summons Regan and Alec to her office. The letter is on hotel stationary, which means the killer has been in the hotel. The heading on the top of the page reads "Our Murder List" and 'our' is underlined several times.

Sweeney and the sales clerk's names have been crossed off the list. There are question marks next to Shields and his bodyguards. But a new name has been added to the list and already crossed off. The name is Haley Cross, and under it the killer wrote, "You owe me for this one, too."

Alec gets on the phone and confirms a Haley Cross is in the morgue. She was killed running on the jogging path at the park. Alec looks at a framed.....
