Alec and Regan return to the hotel. Regan recognizes the policeman stationed outside her door but can't place him. Alec tells her it is the young cop she saw getting reamed out in Lt. Lewis's office, the first day she visited the station. Alec got him the security job to help him earn some extra money.
Alec asks what Aiden and Spencer were discussing at the fundraiser that had Regan so upset. She's surprised Alec noticed because she had been sure her feelings were well hidden. Alec laughs and tells Regan her emotions are almost always visible, right on her sleeve.
Regan shares with him that Aiden and Spencer are in favor of giving her stepfather a 'go away' settlement. Sure that Regan would disagree with their plan, they brought it up at the banquet,.....
