Chapter 24 Summary

Alec introduces Regan to Detective Wincott, the man in charge of the investigation into Sweeney's death. He leaves them and runs into Wincott's partner, who says he's heard Regan is a stunner. Alec is surprised to realize he's angry and wants to tell the newly divorced detective to stay away from Regan. Instead, he tells him Regan's scared and to go easy on her.

After Regan finishes her interview with Wincott, she spends several hours with the sketch artist. She's finally ready to go home when Alec finds her and says she can't leave just yet. Her brother and her attorney are waiting for her in Lt. Lewis's office.
