Chapter 20 Summary

To Alec's surprise, Lewis does an about-face and suddenly announces Alec is back on the case. Lewis has just realized who Regan is - or, more specifically, who her brother Aiden is. Aiden is a member of the country club Lewis has been trying to get into for more than five years. Aiden just called the Superintendent of Police, demanding that Regan get 24/7 police protection.

Lewis sees an opportunity to suck up to Aiden and make Alec miserable at the same time. He assigns him bodyguard duty.
