Chapter 19 Summary

Alec is on his way back to the station when his contact at the FBI calls and officially offers him the job. Before going to see Lewis, Alec stops at Human Resources and gives his notice. By the time he makes it to Lewis's office, Lewis has already heard the news and is furious that Alec didn't tell him first. He says it makes him look bad that he had to hear it from his supervisor, who wants Lewis to try to talk Alec into staying.

Alec says his mind is made up. He asks Lewis if he should work out his three-week notice or leave now. Lewis angrily tells him to stay. However, he wants all of Alec's pending cases turned over immediately. He tells Alec he can spend the next three weeks.....
