Chapter 3 Summary

The killer waits outside Regan's building for more than two hours. When she doesn't appear, he returns to his Jeep, disappointed and ashamed. He sobs in terror, wondering what the beast will do to him now. As he drives home, he sees the entrance to the park she recently dedicated. The killer is sure the demon guided him here, and that Regan will be found on the jogging path. He finds a place to leave his car and begins scouting the jogging trail. He finds an area that is in the midst of being landscaped. There are large holes where old shrubs have been ripped out, and lots of dead and dying brush, just around a bend in the path. He also finds a shovel, hammer and tarp that were left behind by.....
