Summary

In the writers’ room with Seth, Georgie is distracted. Seth reminds her that they are running out of time to finish their pilot. But when Georgie sees that her phone is ringing and thinks it might be Neal. She is disappointed when Noomi is on the other line and informs Georgie that Neal is not available. When she goes back to the writers’ room, Seth is “at the end of his rope” (165). Georgie tries to concentrate, but she just keeps thinking about Neal.

In 1998, Georgie goes to Seth’s frat house after the Halloween party during which Neal told her he had a girlfriend. When she sees Seth fresh out of the shower, she realizes her feelings for him had been replaced with feelings for Neal. Seth tells her that her relationship with Neal “wasn’t mean to be,” but Georgie is not...
