Summary

In Chapter 5, Georgie returns to a house empty of her children and husband. She thinks of the old house she and Neal lived in before they had children and misses it. Neal had a job then, and she would often have the house to herself. As she watches her show on TV, Georgie recognizes that Neal never called her back. Now, they live in a nicer house, and Neal does not work. Instead, he performs many of the household duties, like laundry.

At the start of Chapter 6, Georgie misses a call from Neal while she is in the shower. Neal does not leave a message. She heads to the office worried about Neal and wearing an old Metallica shirt of his. She and Seth have worked together for a long time.
