Chapter 34-35 Summary

Cole insists that he and Dolan bring Krantz into their investigation. He calls Pike to fill him in on Sobek, and Pike says that he will personally visit Paulette to prepare her for the media frenzy that will surround her when her husband's death reemerges. When Cole and Dolan arrive at Parker Center, Dolan exposes the civilian employee known as Curtis Wood to be Laurence Sobek. Wood has had constant access to the investigation. In fact, Cole has spoken to Wood on more than one occasion about progress in the case. Dolan also reveals that DeVille's trial connects the six formerly unconnected victims. In the office of his supervisor, Krantz grudgingly agrees to proceed on Dolan's information, and to allow Dolan to accompany the arresting team.
