Chapter 32-33 Summary

Cole finally returns home, where he speaks to Evelyn Wozniak about Abel Wozniak's belongings that are in storage. Cole drives to the storage facility and retrieves Wozniak's personal logs. Pike arrives when Cole is about to leave and explains that he cannot allow anything in the storage unit to embarrass or hurt Paulette. He reveals the truth about Wozniak's death: that given the choice between retirement and conviction, Wozniak killed himself. Pike covered up the suicide to make sure that Paulette could collect benefits. In Wozniak's logs, Pike and Cole come across the name Laurence Sobek, a young informant who had been involved with Lennie DeVille.

Cole goes to Dolan's house since he cannot reach her by phone. He shows her Abel's logs and Dolan agrees that Sobek needs to be accounted for......
