Chapter 30-31 Summary

Cole comes home to find Pike standing in his kitchen. Pike explains that even though he is innocent, Krantz could still win, and the lead detective will do everything he can to make sure that Pike stays in jail. Cole says that he has been working the case from the Wozniak angle, and fills Pike in on all he has learned. Pike defends Paulette's refusal to cooperate. Just then, Lucy arrives home and demands that Pike leave. Cole refuses to make his friend leave, and Lucy storms out.
