Chapter Four: Alone Together Summary

At the end of the Helping Hands meeting Jack, the president and a student in Maggie's homeroom, comes in late. Jack has been kind to her in homeroom and she's surprised and a little excited to see him there.

The following day she's standing in line to see the new James Bond movie when Jack taps her on the shoulder. He asks her what she is seeing and looking at the reader board she chooses the most boring-sounding movie to deter him from going with her. She chooses a foreign film—coincidentally the very film that Jack is waiting in line to get a ticket for. He suggests that they watch it together and with no way out, she agrees.
