Summary

In Chapter 11: “Secret,” at home, Mom tells Lucy she thinks Grandma Lilah might have dementia, a brain disorder which causes confusion. Lucy realizes that Nate and his family are doing all the things Grandma loves to do in order to make sure she enjoys them while she still can. When Nate and Lucy meet up, Nate reveals his mom and dad disagree over whether it is too difficult being at the lake with Grandma Lilah. Lucy announces that she hopes to win the contest so that she can use the money for a motorized raft for Grandma Lilah. Lucy wonders how she will enter the contest because Dad is the judge.
