Chapter 24 Summary

Carmen and Win eventually find David at his mother's house, and he joins them in Carmen's car for the drive back to Bethesda. As Carmen is introducing David to Win, she realizes that she doesn't know Win's last name, and he doesn't know her last name. They are driving along at ninety-five miles an hour, and a patrolman stops them for speeding. Carmen jumps out of the car and yells what is happening, and the officer tells them to go on. He will radio ahead so they aren't stopped again.

At the hospital, Tibby remembers that she has traded the Traveling Pants for the hospital scrubs she is wearing. The two nurses are ready for the delivery, and finally, Tibby convinces Christina to let the baby go so it will be healthy for Carmen and David.
