Chapter 14 Summary

Three weeks into camp, Bridget and Eric have settled into a rhythm. They are in charge of the boats at the lake, and campers rarely show up to use them. Between two-thirty and five, they basically sit around in the sun and talk.

On this particular day, Bridget has the Traveling Pants on over her best green bikini. Bee still feels very passionately about Eric, but she is careful not to ask too many questions about his girlfriend. She dives into the lake from the dock, and when she comes up, she suggests they try out one of the kayaks. Soon they are floating gently in the lake, both lying back and talking. All of a sudden, a bee flies at Bridget, and the two begin trying to bat it away, which finally causes them both to fall into the water together.
