Chapter 9 Summary

The chapter begins with Lena telling her father she will be doing an extra shift at the restaurant. She says this to cover for the time she will really be at the art class. She also tells her parents that she has seen Katherine, who is doing well but will have to wear a hockey helmet until the end of the summer. While Lena is doing the dishes, Valia comes up behind Lena and announces that Kostos has separated from his new wife Mariana and that they did not have the baby they expected.
