Chapter 7 Summary

Carmen is spending her first morning with Valia. She cannot seem to get her tea right. As she struggles with it, she thinks of fall and how her thoughts of it have changed. She really wants to go to Williams College this fall because it is where her dad went. Now, though, when she thinks of fall, she thinks of her room at home being changed into a baby's room, and she is angry that her thoughts have been changed without her consent. The phone rings, and it is Tibby wanting to talk. Just as the conversation begins, however, there is a beep beep beep beep noise. Carmen realizes it is Valia logging onto the computer, so she has to hang up and can't talk to Tibby.
