Chapters 10 through 13 Summary

In Chapter ten, Jacinda is looking forward to study hall when she can see Will. When she arrives in class, Will isn't there and Catherine says she saw Will and his cousins leave earlier in the day. Catherine then hands Jacinda a note given to her by Will to pass on to Jacinda. The note says he has to "leave town for a family thing" and that he looks forward to seeing her on his return. Catherine says Will and his cousins miss a lot of school. Jacinda knows they were in the Cascades just a few days earlier, hunting dragons, and that they've gone hunting again. Jacinda realizes she needs to remember that Will is a hunter and that his effect on her draki isn't enough to override that. She becomes determined to sever the connection she feels with him...
