Chapter 97 - 99 Summary

Fontaine runs into the conference room. He stares out the window in disbelief at the Crypto dome. Immediately, he calls Strathmore's office to find out why TRANSLTR has not been shut down. The interoffice phone is out of order, so the director tries to reach Strathmore on his personal cell phone but no one answers. Fontaine is furious. He knows that TRANSLTR is overheating and about to explode.

David's jacket catches on the door as he escapes the cathedral. He is thrown off course. As his eyes adjust to the sunlight, he sees a flight of stairs before him. Without knowing where he is headed, David jumps over the rope blocking off the stairwell and runs up the steps. He realizes too late that he is heading up the Giralda tower, right into another dead end.
