Chapter Twelve Summary

Winsol is approaching, a holiday held during the longest days of winter, celebrating Darkness and Witch. Daemon helps Wilhelmina and Jaenelle to learn ball dancing. When Cook brings sandwiches in, Daemon dances with her. Graff walks in and catches them, and threatens to tell Lady Angelline to fire Cook. Jaenelle summons her power and threatens Graff into silence, forcing her to alter her memory of what she saw.

Later, Jaenelle comes to see Daemon and finds him looking at an old photo of Lucivar. She asks Daemon for a copy of it, and for a photo of him too, but she will not tell him what she wants the pictures for. When she visits Hell, Jaenelle also asks for a photo of Saetan. She tells Saetan that she wants to purchase two swivel photo frames, and asks if her diamond will...
