Chapter Five Summary

Kartane SaDiablo is Dorothea's son. He grew up with Daemon, and though he was spoilt because he was the privileged son of Dorothea, it was always Daemon he went to for comfort and friendship. Then one day Daemon killed a woman he was forced to serve, and Dorothea quickly sent him away to a different court. She then turned her attention to Kartane and forced him to serve her sexually. He was disgusted that his own mother would do this. He began to release his anger by having violent sex with younger and younger girls. In the end he was raping young virgin witches and deliberately breaking them so they could not practice the Craft anymore. His mother allowed this with no questions asked as long as he only targeted non-aristocratic Blood. Daemon, however, did not approve, and lectured Kartane. Kartane...
