The Hoods

The dragons that Vulture introduces as his soldiers wear hoods. The hoods keep their identities secret, and this is a symbol of Vulture's secretive and devious nature.

Names

Names are often symbolic of the nature of that dragon and typically identify the dragon's tribe. Vulture is a SandWing dragon, and vultures often symbolize death. Cobra is also a SandWing. She is dangerous, striking anyone who is near without regard to their relationship. Winter is an IceWing. His name could be considered symbolic of his nature because he does not show outward signs of affection. His name is typical among the IceWings who live in a frozen region and breathe frost instead of fire. Onyx's name is symbolic, but specifically to this story. The Eye of Onyx is a magic gem that kills anyone who holds it unless they are the queen.
