Summary

In Chapter 3, Haris and Athid left to cross the border to get from Turkey to Syria. Haris was concerned why he did not see Saied and hoped that Saied did not get hurt or had to go to the hospital. When he asked Athid about Saied, he said that he was watching Bashar, his puppy.

Haris felt scared during their attempt to cross the border. Athid travelled confidently, and Haris had a hard time keeping up with him.

He thought about his time at home. He reminisced to the night when he had returned home after drinking at the hotel. His sister had stayed up for him and had worried that he had abandoned her.
