Part 3, The Enemy: Chapters 19-20 Summary

In chapter nineteen, when the bell rings announcing the beginning of the games, Katniss quickly dives into the water and swims to one of twelve land arms that spread out from the Cornucopia that holds the only weapons and supplies the tributes have access to. Katniss arrives at the mouth of the Cornucopia in seconds, but finds that Finnick has also arrived quickly. Finnick, however, is wearing a gold bracelet that appears to be the same one Haymitch was wearing a few days earlier and claims to be her ally. Finnick kills the man from District 5 to save Katniss. Katniss quickly gathers a bow and arrows and helps Finnick fend off several more tributes that have arrived.
