Chapter 31-35 Summary

In chapter thirty-one Verna goes to look for Warren but Sister Leoma tells Verna that Warren had been hurt over the way Verna treated him and he left the Palace. Verna weeps in private, realizing how much Warren meant to her.

In chapter thirty-two Kahlan's wagon has an accident and they lose a man. Kahlan tries to blame herself, but Zedd assures her that it was not her fault.

In chapter thirty-three they reach an abandoned farm where they rest for the night. The group begins discussing what needs to be done.
