Chapters 23 and 24 Summary

In Chapter 23, Zoey is in shock over Stevie Rae's death. Her friends use the affinity for their elements to help bring Zoey back to reality. Neferet tells them to take Zoey back to her room and gives Zoey a vial to drink to keep away the nightmares. Neferet lifts Stevie Rae's body to a bed so she can clean her up for her parents. When they return to the dorm, the group runs into Aphrodite, who apologizes for Stevie Rae's death. Aphrodite admits she had a bad feeling something would happen tonight, but she didn't know what it was. Aphrodite alos tells Zoey not to drink anything Neferet gives her. Zoey says she has the same feelings. Zoey goes to the dorm room and gets ready to take a shower.
