Chapters 21 and 22 Summary

In Chapter 21, as Zoey is about to start the ritual, she is also trying to hide her anger from what Neferet just did to her. Loren interrupts the beginning of the ritual, scaring Zoey. He asks to introduce the High Priestess in training with a poem. Loren starts an introduction that tells the audience that it is Zoey that came up with the new ideas for the Dark Daughters and not Neferet. After the poem, Zoey starts the ritual by conjuring up each element as she goes to each of her friends in the circle holding the candle that represents their affinity.
