Chapters 7 and 8 Summary

In Chapter 7, as Neferet and Zoey sit in the vamps' dining area on the patio, Neferet asks if Zoey is okay from hearing about the football player's disappearance. Neferet tells Zoey that Nyx has withdrawn Aphrodite's powers to see catastrophes in the future and to report any erratic behavior on Aphrodite's part to Neferet. Zoey tells Neferet about her plans for the council and that she thinks the Dark Daughters should get involved with the rescue charity for cats.

In Chapter 8, while leaving dining with Neferet and returning to her dorm, Zoey realizes she forgot to tell Neferet about seeing the ghosts. Zoey decides to save it for a later conversation. Zoy realizes she needs a book from her locker for an essay that is due on Monday. When she opens her locker, she finds a poem, a haiku, from Loren...
