Chapter Eleven Summary

Chapter eleven opens with Gilda Dent asking her husband to tell her the truth. Gilda is confronting Harvey because she found a .22 caliber pistol like those used by Holiday on his workbench. Harvey avoids the question initially by telling Gilda that he has to be in court in an hour. Gilda asks Harvey when he brings home evidence from work, and Harvey replies that he does it frequently.

In the next scene, Batman appears at a bar looking for the Riddler. The bartender attempts to fight Batman but is quickly beaten. The Riddler then reveals himself sitting drunk at the back of the bar. Batman asks the Riddler what he saw when Holiday nearly killed him and why he was at Falcone's hideout. The Riddler tells Batman that Falcone wanted to know who Holiday was and that the better question is...
