Chapter Eight Summary

At the beginning of chapter eight, it is almost Mother's Day, and Batman is at Arkham Asylum trying to get information about the Holiday killings from The Calendar Man. Batman asks The Calendar Man about Harvey Dent, but the Calendar Man only tells Batman that Dent is a Gemini and has a birthday in the near future. The Calendar Man tells Batman that if he is let out he can stop the killings. Batman's interrogation is soon interrupted by guard's telling him that someone has escaped on the fourth floor. By the fear in the guard's voice Batman knows it must be Jonathan Crane, also known as The Scarecrow. When Batman reaches The Scarecrow's cell, another guard tells him that The Scarecrow's mother came to visit him. Batman knows this is false because The Scarecrow strangled his mother on Mother's Day...
