Chapter Four Summary

At the beginning of chapter four, it is New Year's Eve and the Joker has just killed the ground's crew for a crop duster plane and stolen it. Batman is attempting to intercept the Joker in his car, but he is late. Batman knows that the Joker plans to use his poisonous laughing gas on the crowd at Gotham Square at midnight.

At Harvey Dent's office, Dent is working late but just about to go home when Vernon comes in with news on the Falcone case. Vernon claims to have found a connection between Falcone and Bruce Wayne.

The Joker is having trouble flying the crop duster and discovers it is because Batman has landed on top of it. Batman orders the Joker to land the plane, but the Joker instead almost throws Batman off of it.
